The Nassau Music Society

Our aim is to promote and encourage the art of music by organizing concerts and other musical activities on a regular basis and by doing so, providing financial and other assistance to students of music in The Bahamas.

What We Do

The Nassau Music Society offers its Members and the Bahamian Community the opportunity to listen to good quality classical and jazz music and has been doing so since  the 1960's. The Society was officially incorporated in 1961 and the first President was Clement Bethel. 

In recent years, international artists such as Yuri Bashmet and the Moscow Soloists, Natalia Gutman, Dmitri Berlinsky, Igor Raykhelson, Ekaterina Astashova, Vilija Poskute, Tomas Daukantas , Mark Drobinsky, Polina Leschenko, The Scottish Chamber Soloists, The Howard Fishman Quartet, Collen Lee, the Albek Twins, Alberto Nose, Jue Wang, Quartetto Gelato among many other have all performed for the Society in the Bahamas.

Please support us as there is a wealth of musical talent among young students in The Bahamas that need help and the improvement in their performance over the years has been remarkable!
